University of Kigali Conference 2026 - Transforming Higher Education in Africa

Effective Date

These Terms and Conditions are effective as of January 1, 2026 and apply to all registrations for the University of Kigali Conference 2026.

1. Agreement to Terms

By registering for the University of Kigali Conference 2026 ("Conference"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register for or attend the Conference.

2.1 Event Details

  • Event: University of Kigali International Conference 2026 - Transforming Higher Education in Africa: Innovation, Sustainability, and Global Partnerships
  • Organizer: School of Post Graduate Studies, University of Kigali
  • Dates: July 20-24, 2026
  • Location: University of Kigali, Kigali, Rwanda

2.2 Conference Theme

The Conference focuses on transforming higher education in Africa through innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships, promoting research collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships among academic institutions, policymakers, and stakeholders in African higher education.

3. Registration and Payment

3.1 Registration Process

Registration is completed through our official website at pgunikigaliconference2026.co.za. All registration information must be accurate and complete.

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Registration fees must be paid in full upon registration
  • Payment confirmation must be emailed to info@pgunikigaliconference2026.co.za
  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit card, and other methods specified during registration

3.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • 60+ days before conference: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • 30-59 days before: 50% refund
  • Less than 30 days: No refund, but registration may be transferred to another person
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@pgunikigaliconference2026.co.za

4. Code of Conduct

4.1 Professional Behavior

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. This includes:

  • Treating all participants, speakers, and staff with respect and courtesy
  • Maintaining professional standards in all communications and interactions
  • Respecting cultural differences and diverse perspectives
  • Adhering to academic integrity and research ethics

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
  • Disruptive behavior during sessions or activities
  • Unauthorized recording or photography of presentations
  • Commercial solicitation without prior approval
  • Violation of intellectual property rights

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Conference Materials

All conference materials, including presentations, abstracts, and proceedings, are protected by copyright. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without explicit written permission.

5.2 Presentations and Submissions

  • Speakers retain copyright to their presentations and research
  • By presenting, speakers grant the University of Kigali permission to record and distribute their presentations for educational purposes
  • All submissions must be original work or properly cited

6. Liability and Disclaimers

6.1 Limitation of Liability

The University of Kigali and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Conference, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Travel delays or cancellations
  • Loss of personal items
  • Technical difficulties or connectivity issues

6.2 Force Majeure

The University of Kigali reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Conference due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, health emergencies, or other force majeure events.

7. Photography and Recording

By attending the Conference, participants consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional and educational purposes. These materials may be used in future marketing materials, publications, or online content.

8. Health and Safety

  • Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the Conference
  • Any specific health or dietary requirements should be communicated during registration
  • The University of Kigali will follow applicable health and safety protocols
  • Participants with contagious illnesses should not attend the Conference

9. Changes to Terms

The University of Kigali reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website, and participants will be notified of significant changes via email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Conference shall be resolved through the courts of Rwanda.
